Askew, Sr, is his authenticity and overwhelming commitment to community, reducing recidivism, lowering the drop out rate and advocating for positive behavior change. Coach Q, as he is affectionately referred to by both clients and colleagues alike, is the real deal, a true humanitarian and community leader. This Fayetteville, North Carolina native’s personal core values can be summed up in three words—Faith, Family and Philanthropy. Whether through programs he’s established, motivational products created, inspirational speaking engagements or philanthropic endeavors, Coach Q has positively impacted the lives of thousands for over three decades. He is an award-winning facilitator, social entrepreneur, coach, author and philanthropist. He is also a decorated military veteran, accomplished athlete and state championship-winning head football coach.

For over three decades, Coach Q has dedicated his life to service and community with a passion for empowering the most vulnerable members of society. With over 30 thousand hours of facilitation and over 10 thousand clients served, his dedication and commitment for changing offending behavior and encouraging positive behavior change is unparalleled. Trained and mentored by some of the most seasoned psychologist in the country, he is a certified cognitive behavioral specialist and currently one of the most sought-after and leading voices on positive behavior change. His multi-faceted talents and diverse background, coupled with his firm, direct approach make him a dynamic speaker and engaging motivator with a proven record of excellence. Utilizing his message of Hope, Faith & Perseverance, he motivates individuals from all facets of life to realize that they are Unbreakable and with The Mindset of a Champion they can achieve greatness no matter their circumstances while also instilling the importance of giving back once one has reached their desired accomplishments! Coach Q, along with his QFI family, proudly serves as a premier referral partner and contract provider for courts, probation, correctional facilities and law enforcement agencies throughout the country. Making history as the first minority-owned agency contracted to provide GED/HiSET and re-entry education for returning citizens housed in a North Carolina correctional institution.

It was after many years of service, Coach Q realized the importance of investing back into community-based, faith-based and non-profit organizations. Providing consulting services, tangible and financial resources in an effort to strengthen them, their communities and ultimately strengthen his fight for recidivism reduction. Concurrently, he is the proud host of the The Philanthropic Affect Podcast where he has the opportunity to spotlight those agencies and individuals that are truly making a difference in the lives of others, as well as, those that have overcome life challenges and now living a life of success.
